Congratulations, you've made it!ĭeactivate the Large Hydrogen Thruster and set the the override back to 0%. Once you reach space, the horizontal plane and altitude will disapear from your hud and the natural gravity will show 0.0g. Around every 5000m, press spacebar and engage the dampeners for a few seconds to ensure, the ship is not drifting away. Ignore that and do not tilt the ship in any direction. The horizontal line will change as you go higher. Make sure the ship stays still during the whole ascend. So continue to decrease the override whenever possible since every further acceleration beyond 100m/s is wasting fuel. The higher you get, the easier the thruster will accelerate. Use and to adapt the Thrusters override-settings. Now let the large Thruster do all the work. Push again to provide additional uplift until the ship reaches ~90m/s. Depending on how much stuff you've put in the ship's inventory, the SVEINN will accelerate rather slow. While accelerating, turn on the large Hydrogen Thruster (Toolbar 1, ) and deactivate the ship's dampeners. Make sure the ships stands perfectly still and allign the SVEINN to the planet's horizontal plane. Move to a save distance from your base (100m+) and create a GPS-Marker. Turn your small Hydrogen Thrusters on (Toolbar 1, ), Make sure the Tank is not set to stockpile and disconnect the ship from your base. Set the Large Thruster override to 100% while the Thrusters are still turned off (Toolbar 1, ). Make sure the Hydrogen-Engines are off and the batteries are set to 'auto'. Also you want some free cargo space for mining and if you're not happen to sit on or next to an ice-lake, disposing ice is just a waste of valuable resources. You can fill up the second one too, but keep in mind that the ship will get quite heavy and ruin the fuel-efficency before you'll actually reach space. However, you can prolong the orperation time by filling the generator and one of the cargo-containers with additional ice. If you do it right, you can bring the SVEINN to space and have enough hydrogen left, to do a mining-run and return home afterwards. This way you can doublecheck the not visual parts of the conveyer-network for incomplete or missing blocks.Ĭheck the batteries and the tank. Find the Parachute Hatches in your inventory menu and move the Canvas there. While you wait for the ship to be fueled up, produce a stack of canvas (at least 4, better more) and put them into the ships inventory. If that's not the case, for whatever reason, you can still setup the vessel, by charging the batteries through the hydrogen-engines and process ice via the onboard-generator. You should have an established base, including renewable power supply, a generator to process ice and a hydrogen-tank to store fuel before seriously considering going to space for mining. Engage the lock and turn off the Thrusters again. Once you've generated enough Hydrogen, turn on the small thrusters (Toolbar 1, ) and navigate the ship to a connector on your base. The tank should be filled to at least 10% before you actually turn on the thrusters. So take a look at the Hydrogen Tank itself from the Control-Menu. Keep in mind that there are Hydrogen-Engines installed on the ship, which will grab a good portion of the fuel for their own inventory. Keep putting ice into the ship's inventory and regulary check the fuel status from the cockpit. The generator should now start to process the ice for fuel. The SVEINN has a pair of Sorters connected to Ejectors which are preset to dispose Stone, allowing you to safe space for more valuable minerals.ĭespite not having an O2-tank, the SVEINN comes with a simple air-vent to harvest oxygen form outside and make toxic atmosphere breathable, as long as you remain in the cockpit.Īfter you've successfully constructed the vessel, add some ice to its inventory and make sure, the O2/H2-generator is turned on. Additionally you can reload the batteries on the fly by using the Hydrogen Engines. Attach it to your homebase or mothership via connector to recharge you battery. Additionally you can store personal items like tools and bottles in the cockpit. Two drills ans two medium cargo containers provide a good amount of space for ore. You can leave out or grind down all armor, lights, lcds and other decorative elements in order to save even more PCU, without the ship falling apart or loosing crucial functions.Ī set of light armor blocks protect the SVEINN against damage. Less than one large grid block in high and two in width including decent space to maneuver, guarantee hassle-free working in tight places and allow you to store the SVEINN in even the smallest hangers.Īll functional parts of this vessel are connected directly to each other.
